“Yesterday, I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself”
~ Rumi

In our urgency to find quick fix solutions to demanding situations in our lives, we often forget to turn inward and examine what is happening within us, right here, right now. We inadvertently look for answers outside of ourselves through religion, scientific evidence, books, and people; without realizing that our ‘truth’ lies within each of us. However, as we begin to reconnect with our innate magnificence, ‘synchronicity’ begins to aid the process of attracting the right teacher, knowledge, spiritual ideologies at the right time.

Anam Kara adopts a client-centred approach and perceives the understanding of each individual’s inner world as a key component of the therapeutic process. The idea is to create a holding space for the client to explore deeply personal emotions, allowing for a breaking away from a cycle of anxiety and fear based response towards a sense of self-belief and empowerment.

In one way or another, each one of us is seeking ‘meaning’ in our lives. The meaning of life is likely to differ person to person, and from one moment to another; rendering it almost impossible to define in a single sentence. Being part of this profession contributes meaning to my life. As practitioners, we are privileged to accompany the client as they work towards rediscovering meaning in their lives, and reinstating a sense of well-being.  Personally, I experience tremendous learning along the way, given that each of our stories and lives are intricately interwoven into a state of ‘oneness’.
